Main Advantages of Calcined Brown Fused Alumina
Zhongsen Editor 2024-09-30Low-carbon brown fused alumina has high toughness and will not powder or break during use. In the process of calcination treatment, the brown fused alumina is first calcined in the rotary kiln, and then flows into the vertical furnace for supplementary calcination treatment, so as to effectively prevent the color of the abrasive from getting frost. After the calcined brown fused alumina abrasive, the performance of the abrasive is greatly improved. The advantages are as follows:
1. Eliminate the abnormal expansion of the brown fused alumina abrasive: because the brown fused alumina is in the melting process, the abrasive contains a low-price oxidation chin (Ti203, Ti0) and a carbonized chin, nitride (TiC, TiN). When they are calcined in an oxidation atmosphere of 900℃ to 1000℃, they are further oxidized, and the volume increases accordingly, such that the volume change of the abrasives exceeds its normal expansion, i. e., an abnormal expansion. The abnormal expansion of the abrasive will make the brown corundum ceramic grinding wheel produce a network crack on the surface when burning, causing a large amount of waste material. Calcination treatment is the most effective means to eliminate the abnormal expansion.
2. Improve the toughness and grinding performance of the brown corundum abrasive: It is found that this is due to TI3 curing in the corundum crystals during the calcination process of the abrasive.+ Is oxidized to cause a lattice contraction, thereby increasing the compressive strength of the abrasive agent. Second, the calcination also compensated for the internal stress induced during the granulation process. Therefore, the various grinding tools produced by the calcined abrasive are not only durable but also sharp, which improves the grinding performance of the abrasive agent.
3. The hydrophilic quality of the brown fused alumina abrasive is improved: after roasting the brown molten alumina abrasive at 800-900℃ for 120 minutes, the hydrophilic character of the abrasive is increased by 3 times. It was found that this was because impurities such as volatiles on the surface of the abrasive agent were removed, the low melting point material was burned off, and the capillary phenomenon on the abrasive surface was increased. Hydrophilic abrasive is used for coating the abrasive and for its durability. Can increase by 30 to 50%.
4. Improve the strength of the grinding tool: the abrasive agent after the calcination treatment removes the impurities such as the volatiles on the surface of the abrasive agent, improves the purity and cleanliness of the abrasive agent, and thus improves the binding force between the grinding particles and the grinding particles.
